1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Local storage is a related browser technology. Alarmia uses both where they are necessary to keep requested features working consistently.
2. Cookies and storage we use
Alarmia uses essential authentication storage and browser storage needed for requested features. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. • Authentication session — Keeps a signed-in session working, subject to the authentication provider's expiry • Alarm settings — Stores local alarm configurations (persistent) • App preferences — Stores theme, tone, snooze, haptics, sleep goal, navigation, and related choices (persistent) • Accessibility preferences — Stores text size, reduced motion, and high contrast in this browser (persistent) • Consent and onboarding — Remembers consent and setup state (persistent) • Notification state — Stores enabled preferences and technical subscription state where required • Temporary drafts and caches — Uses session or local storage for reviewed drafts and short-lived app content
3. Third-party sign-in and security storage
Alarmia does not use advertising cookies. If you choose Google or Apple sign-in, or when an abuse-prevention CAPTCHA is required, that provider may use cookies or similar browser storage under its own policy to complete authentication or distinguish people from automated traffic. These controls are used for security and sign-in, not behavioral advertising.
4. Managing cookies and local storage
You can clear Alarmia cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. This may sign you out and reset local alarms, accessibility choices, onboarding state, cached content, and app preferences on that browser. It does not by itself delete server-side account, safety, partner, or notification records; use the account data controls or contact us for those requests.
5. Agent drafts and tool state
If WebMCP is enabled, Alarmia may keep a short-lived, same-origin session draft so the user can review an agent-prepared alarm or preference change. Clearing browser site data removes these local drafts. Relationship acceptance, safety actions, location sharing, permission changes, and deletion are never stored as agent drafts or completed automatically.
6. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
